Something to hold and care
Vanished in air like smoke
Which almost made me choke
Was it only an illusion
Caused by my lonely confusion
Only a trick of my mind
Seen even by the blind
Was it true I can't decide
Without you I have no guide
All I can do is drift
And my thoughts are in rift
Had I turned in time
Would you have been mine
Eternally to love and care
Forever to adore and stare
Or had you disappeared anyway
Never even intending to stay
Only making me suffer more
Leaving me crying on the floor
